Founder - Teacher

My name is Norka Vivas. I have twenty years of experience in early childhood development. I am originally from Peru and hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology. 

When I arrived in the USA, my son was two and a half years old, and I enrolled him in a parent co-op preschool where I discovered my passion for early childhood education. 

Since then, I have started taking ECD classes and obtained my director credentials from the State of California. Ten years ago, after working for different preschool programs and gaining experience, I decided to start my own family childcare.

Cofounder - Teacher 

My name is Heidi Vivas. I was born in Peru, and at the age of 16, I moved to Mexico, where I studied and received my degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Sonora.

On many occasions, I came to California to visit my sister, but one day those vacations didn't have a return date, and I decided to stay in Livermore for a while. I enrolled at Las Positas College to study English as a second language, and during my time as a student, I got involved in an activity that the college had to reach out to the Latino community.

There, I had the opportunity to help many Mexican immigrant women who had left their country in search of the American dream to enroll in English classes and provide information about financial assistance for their children to attend school and/or university. Later, I completed the English program.

When I became a mother, I realized the importance of the first five years of a child's life, so I decided to venture into this field and enrolled in Early Childhood Development classes, obtaining my teacher assistant accreditation from the state of California.

I volunteered in the dual immersion program at my daughter's school and also served as a Sunday school teacher for children at my church.

In 2013, my sister and I embarked on the dream of opening our own Family Child Care, where we could implement a curriculum based on our experience, values, and the needs of the child, while incorporating the best aspects of our Hispanic and American culture.

During these ten years working with young children, my understanding of the importance of the first five years solidified due to the shared experiences I had with each of the children.

Every demonstration of empathy, every tantrum overcome with my hug, and the fact that they keep their classroom tidy as I teach them are all signs that I am on the right path. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing each of their achievements and seeing a little bit of myself reflected in them.

My name is Cindy Hafner. I am originally from Costa Rica and have been residing in the United States for the past 13 years. I currently live in Livermore, where I settled upon my arrival in this country. 

I am a mother of two teenagers and have gained extensive experience working with preschool-aged children for six years. I am presently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Las Positas College.

My passion for working with children stems from their innate genuineness and purity. Their positive energy fills me with joy, affection, laughter, and inspiration. Each day spent with them allows me to revisit my own childhood, enabling me to play, have fun, and feel like a child again.

I am a highly empathetic individual with great patience, which has enabled me to forge strong connections with both children and my colleagues. In addition to my dedication to early childhood education, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, and I am passionate about learning about nutrition.

I appreciate the opportunity to share my experience and enthusiasm for caring for and educating children. I am confident that my commitment and dedication can be of significant value in any environment related to childhood education.
